Thomas J. Walsh
Menlo Park Terrace - Thomas J. Walsh, 94, of Menlo Park Terrace, passed away at Rahway Hospital on March 4, 2018. He was born in New York City on September 5, 1923. Thomas was a Firefighter for the New City Fire Department before he retired. He served in the US Navy during WWII. He was a member of the American Legion, the Elks and enjoyed fishing.
He was predeceased by four children: Anne Marie, Sean, Thomas and Gerard Walsh.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Dolores Walsh, of Menlo Park Terrace; seven grandchildren: Thomas Ault, Angie Ault, Gerard Walsh, Shane Walsh, Tarah Walsh, Kevin Harlfinger and Glen Davidson; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday and Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, NJ 08863. Funeral services will begin Friday 10 am at the funeral home followed by a 10:30 am Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Peace Church. Interment will be in St. Gertrude's Cemetery.
